  • These Sterling Silver Ice Tongs were designed by Leonore Doskow and retailed by Tiffany Co. Circa 1950's 
  • The ice tongs feature a square rod design and is one continuous rod that has been twisted into spring. 
  • Leonore Doskow (1911-2008) was featured in the 1973 edition of Silver Magazine and once had a sugar bowl which she designed exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1940. Her company, Leonore Doskow, Inc. which her and her husband started in the mid to late 1930's manufactured silver novelties of her own design which were sold to upscale retail stores throughout the country.

GOOD - Item shows some signs of normal wear consistent with the age and handling of the item and may have some minor imperfections such as light scratches, dings or fading.

FAIR - Item shows more noticeable imperfections such as chips, cracks and may have been touched up or repaired or is missing a component. 

Note:  Some of the Vintage Sterling Silver items offered for sell on our website have been cleaned or polished by the previous owners and some have not.  Due to the varying schools of thought concerning cleaning Vintage Sterling Silver we do not clean or polish any of these type of items and instead choose to leave that decision in the hands of our customers.
